What is a Practitioner?
Today, there are thousands of documented healings through Christian Science treatment alone. A practitioner can help you understand how prayer heals and help you find healing for yourself through treatment.
A practitioner is a Christian Scientist who devotes their full professional time to assisting others through prayer in the ministry of Christian healing. It's someone who is quietly working to heal today's world through the public practice of Christian Science. It's someone who has declared that all things are possible to God and proves daily that Christian Science heals. They follow the teachings of the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. In the late 1800's she discovered the principles of Christian healing, as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus. She wrote the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures to fully explain the religion.
To be a practitioner requires humility and love. It also demands Bible study, consecrated prayer, and a demonstrated ability to apply spiritual understanding to the overcoming of human discords. Preparation includes a course of study with an authorized teacher of Christian Science and a record of successful healing of others.
As professionals, practitioners charge for their services. My current rates are as follows:
$20 per treatment
$20 for one hour office appointment.
In accordance with the Church Manual, rates will be reduced to $18 a day in chronic cases of recovery with over three days of treatment, and in cases where a cure has not yet been effected. You will be asked for your name and billing address during our first conversation. Statements are sent on the first day of the following month. Payments for treatment may be made by check or online through PayPal.
You may call 360-241-4654, 24/7 to find out more, or to make an appointment.
Christian Science Heals
Today, Christian Scientists practice living and healing as Christ Jesus demonstrated over 2000 years ago. The watchword of our religion is "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons." All over the world, people are learning about, practicing and proving that God is good and cares lovingly for all his children.
For over a century, thousands of carefully confirmed healings have been documented in the pages of The Christian Science Journal, Herald and Sentinel. These may be viewed at any Christian Science Reading Room. The last 100 pages of Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy contain letters of testimony of the healing efficacy of Christian Science.
Background
Randall Dearborn is a fourth generation Christian Scientist. Raised in suburban Chicago, he graduated from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois. He has served as Chairman of the Board, First Reader, Second Reader, Sunday School Teacher and President of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Milford, New Hampshire.
Today he resides near Portland, Oregon in the small town of Camas, Washington. He is an active member and First Reader at the Christian Science Society of Camas, Washington and a member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts.

Mary Baker Eddy was born in Bow, New Hampshire, of Puritan ancestry. She expressed from early childhood a spiritual hunger which caused her to turn to God and to the Bible.
In 1866, in need of healing, she discovered the divine law of Truth in Christ Jesus' teachings -- the law which she later named Christian Science. From that time forward, her life goal was to convey this healing truth to others.
Between 1866 and 1910, Mary Baker Eddy wrote Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other writings on Christian Science and founded the Church of Christ, Scientist, and its periodicals, including The Christian Science Monitor, an international daily newspaper. Her writings and publications are available at any Christian Science Reading Room.
Science and Health

As mankind enters a new century and millennium, there is a deeper search going on for the true meanings of life, health and freedom -- a search for the solutions to our environment and how to attain better relationships with one another. What role does Christianity play? How does the Bible continue to provide guidance and vitality? Is spirituality relevant to the health, happiness, and progress of man?
In the Preface to her work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy writes, "The time for thinkers has come. Truth, independent of doctrines and time-honored systems, knocks at the portal of humanity. Contentment with the past and the cold conventionality of materialism are crumbling away. Ignorance of God is no longer the stepping-stone to faith. The only guarantee of obedience is a right apprehension of Him whom to know aright is Life eternal."
In succeeding chapters, the author explains the nature of God, man, and the universe; sets forth the Science of Christianity; emphasizes the importance of spirituality as the answer to materialism; and provides a key to understanding the timeless teachings of the Bible.
First published in 1875 in English, it has since been translated into 16 languages. Revised over 400 times, the book has sold over 10 million copies.
The Bible

Never more vital than it is today, the Bible remains a primary resource in mankind's progress toward understanding his innate spirituality and goodness.
Over the centuries, the universal truths contained in this book -- the courage and spiritual vision of the Old Testament prophets and the inspiring accounts of the words and works of Christ Jesus -- have brought guidance, understanding, and healing to those who have pondered its timeless message.
On page 15 of the Church Manual, Mrs. Eddy states "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life."
The King James Version of the Bible is an extraordinary example of the great writings in the English language. It was translated from the original Hebrew and Greek by forty-seven preeminent Bible scholars. As a result, the King James Version is first among Bible translations for its beauty of language and sublimity of expression. Christian Scientists study this translation every day. Other translations are often used to help round out their study, such as The Message (Peterson), English Standard Version, The New Testament in Modern English (Phillips), The New Revised Standard Version, The New English Bible, and Today's English Version.
